A few comments from our inspection report from the Care Commission:
“Observation and discussion during the inspection evidenced the opportunity for young people to be involved in a range of decisions which would influence their care and support”
“individual integrated plans included comprehensive healthcare information and risk assessments to promote health and safety”
“the outdoor environment had been planned and developed with consideration of the individual interests of young people”
“an external board of advisors provided an objective overview of the service provided. The Board had met twice and was ‘made up’ of people with relevant experience and professional backgrounds. One of the Board had been identified to visit regularly and be available to speak to young people and their parents. The intention was that the Board would report to the senior staff of Bachlaw four times a year”
“the managers and senior staff were present at the service and aware of the importance of positive role modelling and supporting and encouraging staff”
